Lakeside Health Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in West Palm Beach, Florida, recently earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The CMS ratings system is designed to assist the public in choosing care for their loved ones. It calculates the ratings based on results of health inspections, staffing and quality measures (including pain management, pressure ulcers, weight loss and falls).
“This was a goal that the facility worked hard for, and it was an amazing feeling to see the staff’s hard work and dedication pay off,” said Amy Saayman, executive director. “We have an extremely low turnover rate, and this directly correlates to the care we provide. Associates really get to know our patients and can truly meet their needs.”
The rating officially posted on the CMS website on March 23, 2017.
“We are so proud of the Lakeside team in their accomplishments!” said Stacy Valdivia, vice president of parent company Life Care Centers of America’s Sun States Region. “They have truly worked very hard making resident care a priority.”
